Becoming an expert in forensic physics cannot be achieved in a short pe-
riod of time. It requires a lot of reading, field experience, and practice, as
well as more formal education. With the proper training, however, a knowl-
edge of physics provides important insights into crimes—and these insights
can help bring criminals to justice.
