: Scientists who study insects.

: Using up.
genetics
: Characteristics passed on through heredity.
impart
: To transmit knowledge or identifying marks.
platelets
: Blood particles involved in clotting.
radius
: The area within which something can work.
satellite
: An offshoot of something larger.
shock wave
: A wave of increased heat or pressure that moves outward from
a central point of force.
spatter
: Small, scattered particles of something, such as blood.
superior vena cava
: The vein that carries blood into the right atrium of
the heart.
viscosity:
The property of a fluid or semifluid that causes it to resist flowing.
Warren Commission
: The popular name of the U.S. Commission to Report
upon the Assassination of President John F. Kennedy, formed through an
executive order by President Lyndon B. Johnson to investigate the assas-
sination of President Kennedy. Members included U.S. Supreme Court
Chief Justice Earl Warren and future president Gerald R. Ford, then a
representative from Michigan.
