Blood Spatter
age 12 shows a sample pattern created when multiple drops of blood fell
on one single spot. The number of satellite spatters increases as more and
more drops fall on the parent droplet.
Much information goes into being a specialist in the interpretation of blood
spatters. In fact, blood-spatter evidence alone could be enough to keep a
laboratory full of scientists busy every day of the year. It becomes more and
more apparent that splitting a forensic laboratory into many departments is
the best way to deal with the different evidence types gathered on a daily
basis.
