Homophones are two or more words that sound the
same, but are spelled differently and have different
meanings. For example, the words
commotion
and
co-motion
are homophones.
You can create a great joke by mixing homophones.
Here’s an example:

They wanted to make a co-motion.
These jokes are fun because your family and friends
might be able to guess the answers. And sometimes
they’ll come up with different answers that are just as
good. Then you’ll have some brand-new jokes to tell
