presents the Golden Raspberry Awards,
known as the Razzies. These awards are

of the previous year. The Razzies are a
humorous counterpart to the Academy
Awards, or Oscars. The Academy Awards
are presented by the Academy of Motion
Picture Arts and Sciences to the year’s best
movies and performances. Winning an
Oscar is one of the biggest thrills an actor
can achieve. The Razzies are meant to be
satire. Newspapers and televisionnetworks
regularly report on movie critics’ annual
selections.
